Chances works because everyone in the room agreed to the same few promises. Here they are.
You get one signal per person, per night. If it isn't answered, that is an answer. A red ring means no; there is no asking twice.
Declines, blocks, and unanswered signals are final for the night. Pressure of any kind, in the app or in the room, gets you removed.
Your name is yours to choose, and using your business identity at an event is welcome. But your photo must be you. People are standing meters away; honesty is not optional, it's the mechanism.
No nudity in profile photos. No slurs, threats or harassment in chats; the app filters the worst, and reports handle the rest.
Chats disappear by design. Screenshotting someone's profile or messages to share elsewhere violates the spirit and the letter of these rules.
The app opens the door; walking through it happens in person, at the pace of the slower person. If someone signals interest in the app but not in the room, believe the room.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users here. Reports go to a human and are acted on within 24 hours: rule-breaking content is removed, and repeat or severe violations end the account. If someone made you feel unsafe, block them, report them, and if anything urgent happened, contact local emergency services first.
